.
O.k., retail sales jobs are not the easiest in the world.
And the pay is, arguably, lousy.
And so it is that the employer often gets exactly what they pay for.
How many times has this happened to you: You peruse a sale ad for, say, Walgreens. And you decide you want to get that el-cheapo toaster for $7.99.
Within a half-hour or so, you're at a Walgreens.
And you can't find the toaster aisle.
So you hunt down a clerk.
And you ask, very politely, where you'll find the toaster advertised in their weekly sales ad.
And the sales clerk, in all seriousness, asks if you have the ad with you or says they'll go get a copy of the ad if you'll just wait right there for them.
Now, I ask you - what in the hell do you need the freaking ad for?
Will the ad tell you what aisle it's in?
So that's my response from now on, whenever some unbelievably stupid sales clerk says they need to see the item in the ad before they can actually help me find it.....
"Will the ad tell you what aisle it's in?"
Yes, Mr. Walgreens Manager, I'm talking to you.
Freakin' moron.
