This morning I was fortunate enough to be able to sleep in (almost 9 o'clock!). Such a luxury.

It's a cool 72 degrees and cloudy, with a great breeze. We'll probably have some spotty showers throughout the day, but just for this morning the weather was perfect for sitting on the deck, drinking a cup of coffee and enjoying the peace.

So I did.

Which reminded me of the mornings I could only enjoy my deck from the inside, looking out, like the morning pictured here, from just a few short months ago - a cardinal on my deck, in snow!
